Reform AUSD files Williams Act Complaint

Reform AUSD filed a Williams Act complaint concerning the lack of a qualified teacher in place of award-winning media adviser Jennifer Kim, who was put on administrative leave on August 2. The following is the email and Williams Act complaint sent to the San Gabriel High School Principal Debbie Stone and Alhambra Unified School District Assist. Supt. Marsha Gilbert on Sept. 15. Reform AUSD is currently awaiting a response.

Because of the Williams v. State of California lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), all public schools are required to provide a clean and safe learning environment, adequate instructional materials, and qualified teachers in all subject matters. A Williams Act complaint may be filed by any concerned party that believes a school is not providing one or more of the above resources or services.
